The PEPFAR Country Coordinator (“the Coordinator”) in Namibia is responsible for the leadership and facilitation of the interagency country team, to manage and coordinate the strategy and implementation planning, and for communication among the U.S. Government (USG) departments and agencies (State Department, CDC, DOD, USAID, and Peace Corps) involved in the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Namibia. The Coordinator receives policy direction from the U.S. Ambassador to Namibia and decision-making authority from the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator. Daily supervision and annual evaluation of the Coordinator is assigned to the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM).
