This requirement is for a Oculus Pentacam AXL for the Ophthalmology Branch of the Aerospace Consultation Service. The Pentacam AXL is a high resolution anterior segment tomographer. It is able to image the anterior and posterior corneal surfaces, the anterior chamber and angle, and the crystalline, phakic, or pseudophakic lens. The measurements are completed, without contacting the eye, in less than two seconds. The Pentacam AXL has the additional benefit of integrated axial length measurement, giving accurate, repeatable eye length measurements at the same time it is imaging the anterior segment. The available software in the Package Refractive, Package Cataract, Belin/Ambrosio Enhanced Ectasia, Holladay Report and Holladay EKR Detail Report, and Corneal optical densitometry modules provide for detailed analysis and comparison of measurements over time, evaluation for research and clinical studies, and for patient diagnosis and consultation. Oculus is the sole manufacturer for this product.
