Sealed bids for work involving underpinning repairs and rip-rap placement at the Pennsy Road bridge will be received online via the PennBid Program (www.PennBid.net) by Providence Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania until 10 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. The bids will be publicly opened and read electronically, via PennBid’s website, at 10 AM (prevailing time), same date. Copies of Bidding Documents for the Pennsy Road Bridge Underpinning project are available online and at no cost at www.PennBid.net. NOTE: The Supervisors of Providence Township have authorized C.S. Davidson, Inc., to act on their behalf by opening bids. Contracts will be awarded at a regularly scheduled meeting of Providence Township. A bid bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to Providence Township in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid must be provided by each bidder with their bid. Each bidder must be prepared to submit evidence of his qualifications to perform the work. Notice is hereby given to bidders that this project is not subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961 (Act No. 442, P.L. 987), as amended. Bidders should refer to federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of public and natural resources pursuant to PA Act No. 1972-247.
