This Request for Proposals is distributed by the City of Reading, in partnership with the Berks Alliance and the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance. This RFP invites developers to submit proposals and related qualifications for the development or redevelopment of a portion of Reading’s central business district known as Penn Square. The parcels, located at 431, 437 and 443 Penn Street encompass five (5) historic buildings across three (3) separate tax parcels, for a total of 159,255 SF of built space on 1.22 acres. An electronic proposal, inclusive of all requested information and supporting documents, shall be submitted via the PennBid Program (www.pennbid.net). Proposals shall be received until 3:00 P.M., prevailing time, on December 6, 2019. Proposals received after the hour specified will not be considered.
