This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL)  from General Oceanics, Inc to provide pC02 measuring system, D900741, 1.000ea satellite deck box. As part of a multi-year effort to quantify the flux of carbon dioxide between the ocean and atmosphere under NOAA's climate forcing portfolio, systems to measure partial pressure of c02 are being placed on volunteer observing ships and research ships. General Oceanics has provided underway pC02 syatems for PMEL and AOML in the past several years to meet the needs of the NOAA Global Carbon Cycle Program.

The government intends to negotiate a  contract with General Oceanics, Inc with delivery NLT 12/15/2008. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government.
