The work to be performed consists, in general, of rehabilitating the existing roadway structural section of Truxtun Ave. between Chester Ave. and “T” St. Work includes full depth reconstruction of the numbers 1 and 2 lanes, resurfacing of the number 3 lanes, installation of striping and pavement markings, installation of traffic detector loops, construction of pedestrian access ramps, curbs and gutters, and adjustment of sewer and storm drain manhole frames and covers and monument lids. During the bidding of this project, contractors who have questions or desire clarifications about the bid documents, must submit those questions or requests for clarifications in writing using the form provided in the bid documents. The City of Bakersfield has previously issued a list of approved bidders for this project. This list was determined by the City’s review of the Responsibility Statements and Questionnaires submitted by interested contractors. The City will only open bids submitted by contractors who were approved by the City to be on the Final Bidders List for this project. Bids submitted by contractors who are not approved to be on the Final Bidders List will not be opened.
