The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC) the Pharmacy Department; Pharmaceutical Development Section (PDS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Bachem Americas, 3132 Kashiwa Street, Torrance, CA 90505 under the authority of 41 United States Code (U.S.C.) 253(c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 a contract to procure peptide, HPTH 1-34 (synthetic parathyroid hormone).

The vendor is to provide HPTH 1-34 (synthetic parathyroid hormone).

The North American Industrial Classification is 325411 and the size standard is 750 employees.

A sources sought was conducted on October 10, 2011 through October 21, 2011.

This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however responsible sources may submit a capability statement of their qualifications to perform the requirement as outlined statement of work. All responses received within 15 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government as required by FAR Part 5.207.
