USAID is seeking contractors that may be interested in providing services for the Pandemic Preparedness Initiative (PAPI). The successful contractor will organize, develop, and facilitate types of tabletop simulations and provide limited field pandemic simulation exercises. The Contractors will also provide technical support for the development of analytic and planning tools; technical assistance; short-term training; event-related logistical services, and limited supplies/equipment to enable the above.
Assume that the Contractor will be asked to plan and execute:
⢠4 national hybrid (tabletop/functional field drill) simulations in the following illustrative locations: Egypt, Nepal, Nigeria, and Peru.
⢠4 tabletop simulations: 2 global tabletop simulations (illustratively to be held in Geneva) and 2 regional tabletop simulations (illustratively to be held in Nairobi and Ghana)
⢠Assume that 3-4 technical experts will be required for each simulation in addition to the core staff/exercise management control team.
This is expected to be a three-year, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. USAID expects to award to one contractor on or before 30 Sep 2009.
