This Public Works project will complete: Construction services for the upgrade of the Palmdale Transportation Center to comply with the American with Disabilities Act. The scope of services of the project includes, but is not limited to, parking signage and striping, path of travel, passenger loading zone, rail boarding area, restroom upgrade, and main waiting area upgrades. The contractor will remove and replace existing paving to complete the ADA path of travel per the construction documents. Parking stalls will need to be repainted. The contractor will furnish and install truncated domes, install concrete curb and gutter, concrete wheel stops, and parking signs. The contractor will demolish a wall in the female restroom, build a new wall, and replace plumbing fixtures, restroom fixtures, and partitions per the construction documents to comply with the ADA within the transportation building. The contractor will adjust the location of the sewer connection and patch concrete floor to accommodate new fixtures. The contractor will replace the public telephones with one (1) public telephone, install pipe rails, signage, and appurtenances per the construction documents.
