The VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York at Syracuse, in accordance with FAR 6.302, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Turn-Key Technologies, 2500 Main Street Ext., Suite 10, Sayreville, NJ 08872 for the procurement of a transmitter/antenna and alphanumeric/voice pager system that meets the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) narrowband (NB) equipment standards. The systems will be installed at two locations--the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY and VA Outpatient Clinic, Rome, NY. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; it is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. We are not aware of any other company with equipment that meets the narrowband paging requirement. Should there be any interested party who has a system that complies with the narrowband standards, they may submit a response to this notice along with clear and convincing documentation, to include pricing, for consideration. Responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to complete this acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses may be faxed to 315-425-4843 and must be received by not later than 4pm EST on March 25, 2003, to be considered.
