Project consists of scarification, pulverization and compaction of existing chip seal on approximately 1 mile of Packers Creek Road (4N16); placement of a prime coat (approximately 9.5 tons), a double chip seal consisting of approximately 47 tons of oil and 380 tons of chips, and a fog seal (7 tons), South Fork Management Unit, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Trinity County, California. Contract time is 21 calendar days with an estimated start date of June 15, 2009. Price range is $100,000 to $250,000. An organized site visit may be held, if so, date and time will be provided in the solicitation. Solicitation will be a request for proposal requiring submission of both a technical and price proposal. It will be available for downloading from this website on or about February 19, 2009. Solicitation was amended on 03/27/2009 to include most recent modification to Davis-Bacon wage decision. Date for receipt of offers was also extended until April 6, 2009.
