Performing Arts Center Theater Electrical System Upgrades - Phase 01 Notice to Bidders and Newspaper Advertisement The State University of New York at Albany (Uptown Campus) will receive sealed bids for project number P-1054 titled Performing Arts Center Theater Electrical System Upgrades – Phase 01 until 11:00am local time on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at University at Albany, Service Building “A”, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12222 Room 103, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. All work on this Contract herein will be Substantially Complete no later than November 29, 2024 for the Recital Hall, no later than January 8, 2025 for the Main Theater, and no later than April 11, 2025 for the Studio Theater. The work will be Fully Complete by December 20, 2024 for the Recital Hall, by January 17, 2025 for the Main Theater, and by May 9, 2025 for the Studio Theater. Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge at the campus the Office of Architecture, Engineering & Construction Management, at Service Building A and at the following locations: Eastern Contractors Association Inc., 6 Airline Drive, Albany, NY 12205 McGraw-Hill Construction c/o Dataflow, 2215 Central Ave., Schenectady, NY 12304 Complete sets of Contract Documents for bidding may be obtained from Camelot Print and Copy Center, 630 Columbia St. Ext, Latham, NY, 12110, 518-435-9696 or email: [email protected]. Bidders who register as a planholder through the Printer may acquire the bidding and contract documents using the following options: For a fee of ten dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an electronic download of the bidding and contract documents. At the bidder’s expense, purchase a printed copy or copies of the bid set. A pre-bid walkthrough is scheduled for Monday, October 30 at 10:00am, with interested parties meeting at the Uptown Campus, Service Building A, Room 103 to preview the bid set, and then commence on a tour of the Performing Arts Center (PAC). This is not mandatory. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. All work shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $3,000,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from the Wicks Law.
