CURRY COUNTY ROAD DEPART MENT OVERLAY WORK TO BE PERFORMED IN THE PORT ORFORD AREA Bids Due 11:00 am, April 30, 2020 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Curry County Road Department invites bids for overlay work to be performed in the Port Orford area, Oregon. The roads requiring the asphalt overlay work are Nicholson Drive, Port Orford Loop, Zumwalt Lane, Azalea Lane and Cemetery Loop. Other work to be performed includes cold plane pavement removal, approach paving, shoulder rock placement, place ment of center and edge striping and traffic control. Project must be completed in its entirety by October 15th, 2020. Specifications and bid forms are available from the Curry County Road Department, Contracting Office. Sealed bids will be accepted by the Curry County Road Depart ment at 28425 Hunter Creek Road, Gold Beach, Oregon, 97444 until 11:00:00 AM, local time, Thursday, April 30th, 2020, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read. Sealed Disclo sure of First-Tier Subcontractors forms shall be submitted to the Road Dept. Offices by 2:00:00 PM, local time, Thursday, April 30th, 2020. Specifications and Plans may be viewed for informational use by Bidders and Plan Centers on the Curry County Road Depart ments website, http://co.curry.or.us/Departments/Road. Specifications and Plans obtained from the website are not to be used for submit ting a Bid. Bidders are cautioned that only bound Solicitation Documents obtained from the County Contracting Office may be used to submit bids. The Curry County Board of Commis sioners will not consider any bid unless fully completed in the manner provided in the "Instructions to Bidders" and upon the bid forms provided by the Curry County Road Department. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty, or surety in the amount of ten percent (10 %) of the total bid price. Bidders shall be pre-qualified by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to perform the required classes of work. The Curry County Board of Commis sioners will not consider any bid unless fully completed in the manner provided in the "Instructions to Bidders" and upon the bid forms provided by the Curry County Road Department. The Curry County Board of Commis sioners requires that the bidder be regis tered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701.021, or licensed by the State Landscape Contractors Board as required by ORS 671.530, or the bid will not be considered. The Board does not require the Contractor or subcontractor to be licensed under ORS 468A.720. This proposal/contract is for a public works subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. Prevailing wage rates for public works contracts in Oregon are required for this project. No bid will be received or considered by the Curry County Board of Commissioners, unless the bid contains a statement that bidder will comply with the provisions of ORS 279C.840. The Board of Commissioners will not consider a proposal unless it contains a statement as to whether a bidder is a resident bidder, as defined in ORS 279A.120. The Curry County Board of Commis sioners intends to award the bid to the lowest responsible Bidder, but may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding that it is in the best interest of the public.
