USACE Buffalo District anticipates releasing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or around 24-Jul-2014 for the Oswego Harbor Breakwater Repair. This presolicitation notice is not a request for proposal or an invitation for bid.

This work shall repair the detached wall, approximately 800 LF, that was damaged from Hurricane Sandy. Both ends of the wall and the entire lake side will be repaired. The repair will entail grading of the existing lake bottom, placing bedding stone, under layer stone, and armor stone. The northern 300' of the will have dolosse (11' length and 16 tons) placed, instead of armor stone, coming from the toe of slope for the under layer, up to the crest, but not covering the existing cap. In addition, due to this repair work covering an existing boat landing, a new boat landing (with an appropriate sign) will be installed at a location determined in the field.

This is anticipated to be a full and open, unrestricted opportunity.
