Smith & Nephew's products are based upon surgeon choice in conjunction with patient clinical evaluation. Smith & Nephew has patented features and specifications that result in the conclusion that only Smith & Nephew can fulfill the surgeon needs. The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the item or service is copyrighted or patented and is not available except from the holder of the copyright or patent.
