The 325 Contracting Squadron at Tyndall AFB intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Technolas US LLC, for Line Item 0001: Orbscan IIz w/Zyoptix Workstation (table). This award is restricted to Technolas US LLC and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 334510 with a small business size standard of 500. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 13.501. The Government believes that Orbscan IIz w/Zyoptix Workstation (table) is a patented and proprietary commercial product that can only be acquired through Technolas US LLC, and no other products are available that can support the analysis of curvature and elevation measurements for both the anterior and posterior corneal surfaces. This notice is NOT a request for quote. However, interested parties shall submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, single spaced, and 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services at or before 1:00 PM (central), 07 January 2011. Any information received will only be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. A firm-fixed price order will be issued in writing. Anticipated award is 10 January 2011.
