1. Purpose
a. The US Department of Education requires quotes for the procurement of MySQL Enterprise Edition Subscription in support of the achievement of Department of Education (ED) strategic goals and objectives. ED.gov website is run on Drupal app which is running on Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) stack. The MySQL is a back-end database for Drupal that houses ED.gov data. This RFQ shall not be considered direction to proceed with the subject effort, nor a promise of future direction to proceed. Vendors are solely responsible for all costs incurred with the preparation and submission of their quote.
b. This FFP procurement is for a period of performance of July 15, 2016 - July 14, 2017.
2. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1 -- Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items.
Your offer MUST cite your Cage Code and Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS). Please ensure that your firm is registered in SAM (https://www.sam.gov). Quotes are due no later than 6:00pm EST on Friday, July 15, 2016.
3. Basis of Award: Award will be made to the offeror that provides the Best Value to the Government. The vendor must be able to provide all items listed below under section 4. Item Specifications and clearly state on their quote submission that the offeror is an authorized reseller of the Oracle MySQL product.
