This requirement is Single Source to Optos for a Daytona AF - Optos ultra wide field retinal imager.  The following is the justification for utilizing Optos as a single source to purchase this item:

The next generation of Optos technology, Daytona has been scaled to accommodate smaller office spaces while providing ultrahigh
resolution imaging and adds ultra‐widefield autofluorescence capabilities. Images are available immediately and stored
electronically for future comparison or telehealth applications. It is DICOM compatible. Equipment needs to be 20L X 18W (IN)
table top design.
The Daytona Optos is a table top design allowing the opportunity to maximize square footage. The Daytona takes non mydriatic
ultra‐high resolution images in under a second through 2 mm pupils and many cataracts up to a 200 degree field of view. Our
current retinal camera has limited field of view (45Degree) in comparison and requires dilation. Not having to dilate our
patients will reduce the 24 hours post dilation grounding for aircrew members freeing up our people resources to complete the
mission. The non dilated imaging allows patients to return to work with no restrictions. This eliminates the high demand for
late afternoon appointments associated with eye dialation and therefore cuts down on patient appointment scheduling wait
times. Equipment must include table, on‐site installation, and training for providers and technicians.
The Daytona is patented technology exclusive to Optos. Optos is the sole manufacturer worldwide. This the only technology
that encompasses and meets all of these requirements.
