The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Field Acquisition Office (FAO) is conducting market research for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Bennettsville located in Bennettsville, South Carolina in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, part 10. The FBOP/FAO intends to make an award for the provision Optometry Services. The contractor will be responsible for providing two seven (7) hour clinical visits per month at a volume of 20-30 patients per visit. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. The Government contemplates awarding an indefinate-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a base period from the effective date of award through 12 months, with four 12 month option periods possible. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
