Mandatory Requirements:

Optical Backscatter Reflectometer

•1.      The OBR unit must be capable of measuring a signal path's time delay through multiple media to a reflecting surface. 

•2.     A resolution of 10 microns to measure the time delay to a high degree of precision.

•3.     The unit must be capable of displaying a plot of the signal path and overlaying a previous plot for comparison as well as storing recorded data. 

•4.     The unit needs to operate in a light wavelength range that includes 1550 nm. 

•5.     Be able to perform the operations of Requirement 1 up to 2km. 

Interested parties are to complete the attached RFP and provide brochure of manufacturers specification or other docmentation as necessary to demonstrate meeting the requirements by 12:00 noon Pacific time, August 13, 2010.
