1. SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This request is an announcement for
information/market research for planning purposes. The synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach.
2. The 377th Contracting Squadron, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, is seeking potential sources to provide: Opposing Forces (OPFOR) Support in accordance with the draft Performance Work Statement in support of the 58th Operations Support Squadron (OSS), Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.
3. The contractor will provide support for OPFOR simulations, specifically, develop and brief scenarios, operate radar threat simulators and launch rockets to simulate surface-to-air threats along 58 Operations Group low level routes, act as downed airman for search and rescue events, act as aggressors in the search for downed aircrew during combat survival refresher training (CST) or the Fallen Angel phase of the Combat Mission Training (CMT) program. Additionally and when required, be prepared to assist in the operation of drop zones and aid in the recovery of airdropped loads to the 58 OSS/OSD (Aerial Delivery).
