This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.102 (g) and with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation number is: OPM049-09-Q-0063 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document incorporates all mandatory commercial item provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-34 dated July 1, 2009. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 721110, and the small business size standard is $7.0 million. This procurement is unrestricted, allowing both large and small businesses to submit quotations. The United States Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Center for Security and Emergency Actions (CSEA) has a need for a contractor to host a three (2) day conference for approximately 35 managers/employees. The purpose of this conference is to motivate and provide team-building skills for CSEA staff. The selected contractor shall be required to provide overnight accommodations, parking spaces, meeting space, and audio visual equipment for a three (3) day conference. Note that this is not a request for event planning services. It is preferred that this conference take place on September 13th -15th, 2009. In order to be considered, the offeror’s facility must be located in West Virginia and no more than 200 miles from Washington, DC and Boyers, PA. OPM intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for this requirement to the offeror that represents the best value to the government. The estimated period of performance is from date of award through September 15, 2009. Offerors are invited to submit their quotations to the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Contracting Group in response to this notice by Thursday, July 16, 2009, 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
