One Quail Place Apartments (“One Quail Place”) and Candlewood Apartments (“Candlewood”) are both multi-family apartment properties located at 72600 Fred Waring Drive and 74000 Shadow Mountain Drive, Palm Desert, California respectively (the “Properties”). The Project includes, but is not limited to, improving roofs of all four (4) Apartment Buildings and two (2) Car Ports at the Candlewood Apartments property; and 15 Apartment Buildings at the One Quail Place property, as indicated in the Contract Documents. The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, necessary tools and machinery, supervision, and all utility and transportation services required for the replacement of existing roofing necessary in accordance with the bid items in the Contractor’s Bid, the Specifications, and other Provisions of the Contract. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 3:00 PM on August 18, 2020 to review the Project's existing conditions. In light of the guidelines issued by the State of California Department of Public Health, the Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted via teleconference (e.g., Zoom or other online conferencing platform). Instructions for the teleconference will be made available to bidders via the City’s PlanetBids online bid management platform 24 hours prior to the meeting. Representatives of the Authority will be present. At the Pre-Bid Conference, Bidders will receive instructions how to arrange for a site visit. Bidders will be limited to two (2) representatives at the site visit. A maximum of ten (10) Bidder representatives will be allowed to attend the site visit. The site visit will be conducted on August 20, 2020 with an overflow date of August 21, 2020 if needed. While attendance at the site visit is non-mandatory, Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
