This is not a solicitation, but a review of the market to determine the available business sources.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is looking for small business sources that can provide synthesized DNA primers. The contractor will be required to synthesize 50-200nmoles of DNA primers of 15-100 nucleotides in length. Short primers (<40 bases) will be deprotected, desalted, and lyophilized; and longer primers will be purified with polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis as needed.
The solicitation from this requirement is anticipated to result in an IDIQ contract award for a base year with the option of four addtional years.
The North American Industrical Classification System code relevant to this requirement is 325414; and the small business size standard, as determined by the Small Business Administration (SBA), is 500 employees (www.sba.gov - effective 8/22/2008).
