The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a prospectus in March, 2020 for proposals to operate at the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, Folkston, GA. 1. Provision of approved sport fishing supplies, including Georgia hunting and fishing licenses, artificial and live bait(s), and other fishing and camping equipment.. (required) 2. Provision of approved drinks (non alcohol) and snack foods. Snack foods will be limited to pre-packaged foods such as crackers, canned meats, candy, chips, etc.(required) 3. Provision of Guided Interpretive Tours, educational programs, and special events. (required) 4. Provision of the collection of Refuge Entrance Fees (America the Beautiful, Refuge-Specific Annual Pass, etc). (required) 5. Provision of other sales items (camping supplies, safety items, and other convenience items) as approved by the refuge, with no more than 10% of total merchandise being of a souvenir nature. (required) 6. Provision of approved prepared and cooked foods including sandwiches, salads, prepared entrees, desserts, and catered events on the refuge. 7. Provision of rental boats, boat motors, canoes, and kayaks, bicycles, and all required safety equipment. (required) The existing Concession Contract between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the existing Concessioner expires on August 31, 2020. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for five (5) years. Any offer, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, JAO, Acquisition & Property Operations, 1875 Century Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30345 no later than 45-day response period in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. The prospectus will be issued in March. 2020 for at least a 45-day response period under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due no later than 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) TBD due date in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. All Okefenokee NWR Concession documents (Prospectus, Contract, Exhibits and Attachments) will be available through the Fed Connect website.
