This amendment is issued to inform contractors that the close date is August 27, 2008. The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest Well Decommissioning project consists of the complete decommissioning of 15 wells on 12 sites on the Okanogan-Wenatchee NF. Wells shall be decommissioned in accordance with WA State Department of Ecology regulations. Work on each well includes reviewing the well log, if available, inspecting the well with a camera, if required, perforating the casing and filling the casing with grout or withdrawing the casing and filling the hole with grout, as required. On sites where the pump is still located in the well, the pump will be removed and disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations. Work sites include the Tonasket, Methow Valley, Cle Elum and Naches Ranger Districts, both Chelan and Yakima Counties. The period of performance shall be 90 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. No set-asides will be utilized. The NAICS code is 237110.
