Office on Addiction Services Request for Proposals (RFPs) for Addiction Treatment Services The Mercer County Department of Human Services, Office on Addiction Services, is accepting proposals for the period of one year (January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023) with the option to extend for an additional year (January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024) to provide addiction treatment services for indigent Mercer County residents in the amount of $922,000.00 annually. Funding will be made available in these service categories: Outpatient Services/Intensive Outpatient Services Inpatient/Residential Services Addiction Case Management Services within the Homelessness System Team Care Coordinator SOAR Case Manager Transitional Housing Mercer County Continuum of Care Returning Citizens Community Program- Supportive Services Chronically Homeless– Supportive Services Prevention Education The purpose of this funding is to augment existing sources of support to allow community agencies to provide high-quality, full-continuum addiction treatment services. The vast majority of these comprehensive programs are targeted for Mercer County’s indigent and under-insured populations with substance abuse and addiction problems under the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria to determine the treatment modality most appropriate to the identified level of care needed and to ensure that services are provided in the least restrictive setting possible. Eligible applicants must have licensure from the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), when applicable.
