THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT.

The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central (RHCO-C), Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Melling Medical, 658 South Columbus Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 under the authority 41 U.S.C. 1901, IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source is reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. The requirement is for the Oculus Pentacam HR corneal topography and DICOM. This requirement will be for Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital located at Fort Polk, LA. Award will be on or about 30 September 2021.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112, Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The estimated delivery schedule on or about 31 December 2021. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 Employees. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
