TO PROCURE an OBR4400, the ultra high resolution optical reflectometer for Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This optical reflectometer is to be used for the failure analysis of optical aircraft components. The reflectometer must be able to locate and troubleshoot macro-bends, micro-bends, splices, connectors, breaks, optical component and module failures. In addition, the wavelength accuracy to within 1 nanometer or less; measure lengths of 1500 meters or greater with a single connection; must include a 62.5 micron core measurement port; equip to use standard optical fiber to monitor changes in temperature to withi 1C.
