The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) for the Operation and Maintenance of the Nimbus Fish Hatchery for a service contract consisting of a base year and four option years. The work consists of: (1) Operation and maintenance of the fish hatchery, including all structures and facilities situated thereon, and all equipment, tools, and supplies associated with the work; (2) Production of juvenile fish to meet annual mitigation production goals; (3) Release and distribution of the annual fish production; (4) Collect eggs from anadromous fish stocks, export if excess, import if necessary to meet goals; and (5) Creation of annual written plans for the operation, maintenance, and management of the hatchery. Firms believing they can provide similar services as stated above must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within 7 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
