The U. S. Department of Commerce, Eastern Region Acquisition Division-Kansas City, (ERAD-KC), NOAA and the National Weather Service (NWS) intend to solicit for purchase of Numeral Plates and Scales. These items are being purchased for the National Weather Service (NWS) to be delivered to the National Logistics Support Center, Kansas City, MO. The supplies are to be shipped on a FOB Destination basis. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The Government may require a first article for inspection and testing under this requirement. The NAICS code for this action is 335999. The NWS special packaging/marking requirement will be applicable under this requirement. All contractors doing business with the ERAD-KC must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) or certification of registration in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered with CCR.
