The 502d Contracting Squadron at JBSA-Lackland, TX intends to award a single source purchase order to Carahsoft Technology Corp., 1860 Michael Faraday Drive Suite 100, Reston, VA 20190-5328 under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The proposed contract action is for the procurement of PowerScribe 360 Dictaphone Transcription software updates, upgrades, maintenance, and support for the 97th Medical Wing at Wilford Hall Ambulatory and Surgical Center (WHASC), JBSA-Lackland TX. The period of performance will be from 01 April 2019 to 31 March 2020. This requirement provides web-based speech recognition software updates and upgrades as well as onsite maintenance support required to ensure continuous operability of the system. This is a follow-on to existing contract number FA301618P0131 for the same software.

This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the requirement in writing to [email protected] no later than 1300 hours CST, Monday, 18 March 2019. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. No request for proposals or quotes will be issued base upon this Notice of Intent.
