This procurement is necessary, due to parts obsolescence, and will provide for hardware improvements and upgrades to previously procured ScanEagle UAS for NSW Forces. The hardware shall include replacement/upgraded air vehicles, their components, and improvements to the systems ancillary equipment. The period of performance is anticipated to be one (1) year. The estimated total value of the contractual actions is $10M.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements."
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
