This is a Sources Sought for Noxious Weed Control and Grassland Management at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561730, Landscaping Services, and the small business size standard is $7M. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed price, requirements type contract using Performance Price Tradeoff Procedures. The contractor will provide all management, equipment and labor necessary to ensure that services are performed in manner that will maintain the basic natural ecosystem in place at Grand Forks AFB. Work will include, but is not limited to, native prairie restoration; herbicide applications to conservation areas (herbicides must be Dodd approved chemicals and applicator must be appropriately licensed), perform site preparation to include disking, tilling, cultivating, harrowing, or packing; seeding operations to include special grass seeding drills(truax); perform prescribed burning operations to include development of site burn plans and installation of fire breaks as necessary (contractor must have appropriate training/certification); trim/mow newly established grassland areas and/or mow old standing fields as necessary. The contractor shall comply with all local, state and federal rules and procedures.
