The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a fixed-price purchase order on a single source basis to Syncsort Incorporated for maintenance of Syncsort FilePort software licenses. Due to licensing, warranty, and compatibility issues it would not be possible for another vendor to provide compatible software packages capable of meeting the SEC's requirements and there are no re-sellers or other sources that provide maintenance for these software licenses. Therefore, the Contracting Officer has determined that Syncsort Incorporated is the only source that can meet the SEC's requirement in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b).
The anticipated period of performance for the purchase order will be May 31, 2018 through May 30, 2019 and the purchase order will include four (4) Option Periods of 12 months each. The total value of the order shall be below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold.
The SEC intends to award a purchase order to Syncsort Incorporated on or about May 21, 2018. This notice is not a competitive request for proposals. A competitive solicitation will not be issued. However, the government will give consideration to interested parties that identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by the response date of this notice.
