The NRC issued letters to contractors earlier this week regarding the current lapse in appropriations and the resulting Government shutdown.  The date the NRC has funds available to remain operational has been extended from October 8, 2013 to October 9, 2013.

10/7/13 UPDATE - The date the NRC has funds available to remain operational has been extended to Thursday, October 10, 2013. This is the latest possible date NRC can continue to operate.  Contractors should not anticipate any additional extensions.  Any questions before that date should be directed to the points of contract in this notice.

10/8/13 UPDATE - NRC will exhaust funding at close of business Wednesday, October 9, 2013, not Thursday, October 10, as previously expected.  Contractors who have received notifications to stop work on the date that NRC exhausts funds must stop work at close of business Wednesday, October 9. All other contractors should continue to work until they exhaust contract funds or require technical direction, whichever comes first.
