The San Mateo County Transit District (District or Agency) anticipates releasing the above-titled Invitation for Bid (IFB) in September or October 2021 for: A Public Works contract consisting of furnishing and installing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals necessary to complete the work. The work required is to replace the existing North Base bus wash system with the following new equipment: System controls, motors, pumps, brush assemblies, spray arches, water recycling unit and related piping and structural supports. The scope of work includes demolition and disposal of the 1995 bus washer. The Agency will reuse select components of the existing structure – drainage/collection pits, water storage tanks and utility connections. Bidders bidding as the prime contractor shall possess a valid California State Contractor’s License, Classification B – General Building Contractor and/or Classification C-36 – Plumbing Contractor.
