It is the intent of the Bureau of Reclamation to award a sole source contract to Natrona County Weed and Pest for the control of noxious and nuisance weeds on Reclamation Lands within Natrona County. This action is authorized under Carlson-Foley Act, Section of the Federal Noxious Weed Act of 1974 and in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1 (b) (1).

This procurement is being conducted pursuant to Part 12 and 13 of the FAR. Since Reclamation believes that only one responsible source can fully provide the service that will satisfy the agency's requirement, a Determination to Solicit from a Single Source has been prepared and approve by the Great Plains Regional Office Chief of Contracting.

The Government intends to award this requirement on or around June 13, 2016. Vendors that recognize they can fully provide the required service are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer. In order to allow for sufficient Government consideration, vendors shall submit their written Letter of Intent no later than June 27, 2016. Responses received after June 27, 2016 may not be considered by the Government.

Responses to this notice should be mailed to the Bureau of Reclamation, Attn: Tonya A. Pittsley, P.O. Box 1630 Mills WY 82644, or faxed to 307-261-5691, or e-mailed to [email protected]. All responses should include the vendor's Duns and Bradstreet (DUNS) Number and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Vendors should additionally identify themselves as either a "small business" or and "other than small business" under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561730. The applicable Small Business Size Standard is 7.5 million.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on the responses to the notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.

The base year contract period is expected to be approximately June 2016 to December 31, 2016.

Optional year #1 contract period is expected to be approximately January 1st to December 31, 2017.
Optional year #2 contract period is expected to be approximately January 1st to December 31, 2018.
Optional year #3 contract period is expected to be approximately January 1st to December 31, 2019.
Optional year #4 contract period is expected to be approximately January 1st to December 31, 2020.

NOTE 1: Effective August 1, 2012 any contractor to be awarded a government contract must be registered and active in System for Award Management (SAM). Contractors must register at www.sam.gov
