In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Part 6.302-1, the US Environmental Protection Agency, Center for Environmental Solutions & Emergency Response, Groundwater Characterization & Remediation Division (GCRD) located in Ada, Oklahoma, intends to award a fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Bruker Scientific, LLC. for purpose of renewing service maintenance agreement for government owned FTIR Hyperion Microscope System. Bruker Optics, Inc. and its employees are the sole source for factory new or factory remanufactured parts, local service representation and factory trained/certified engineers to provide service and installation for all instrumentation manufactured and sold by Bruker Optics, Inc. Bruker Optics, Inc. also the only source that can provide factory trained/certified engineers to trouble shoot instrument and provide priority response time for service visit. A lapse in service would be detrimental to ongoing research projects. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy GCRD¿s requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the GCRD requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement being requested by 4:00PM CT on March 23, 2020. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
