The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Reprints Desk copywrite complaint article PDF’s & Galaxy license, Galaxy Subscription. This is an exclusive licensing agreements/Proprietary data. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.

Reprints Desk provides copyright compliant articles that supplement subscriptions, Open Access and Interlibrary Loan to reduce spending and meet research needs. Features include: Integration into existing DocExpress workflow and compatibility with the Voyager SFX link resolver. The collection has 40,000 journal titles and chapters from nearly 600,000 books which can be browzed with an A-Z lookup list with price estimates. High resolution PDF articles are emailed in seconds. Reprints facilitates copyright royalties and avoids duplicate article requests with the robust Open Access filter. No PII is involved.

No additional offerors were considered. Reprints Desk is the only source for this requirement. An Internet search did not return similar services. Discussions with federal librarians did not identify similar services. This service is widely used in Government libraries  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.  A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Any quotation/response should be emailed to Paula Taylor contract specialist at [email protected] by 3:00p.m. on May 26,2021.
