NOTICE OF INTENT

THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District intends to issue a contract, on a sole source basis, to Anchor QEA-Baird Joint Venture (JV) . (“the Designer of Record”). This sole source contract action is required for completion of the following scope of work: required work is in support of a forthcoming construction contract to place carbon amendment at the Scanlon Reservoir , located in the city of Scanlon, Carlton County, Minnesota. It is anticipated this project will be awarded in FALL 2021 by USACE Detroit District.

In July 2020, a contract was issued to the Designer of Record to perform A/E Services to develop 100% design negotiated contract documents for detailed assessment of the remediation of contaminated sediments for the Scanlon Resevoir, located in Scanlon, Minnesota. This contract is required to allow continuity during the construction execution of the design and the required A/E EDC Services.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.  The government is not obligated to, and will not pay for, any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent.

This Notice of intent is hereby published in accordance with FAR 5.203. All responses received within fifteen (15) days of the posting of this notice, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

USACE Detroit District will consider any responses to the notice received within fifteen (15) calendar days of the posting of the notice. Responses may be submitted via email to the points of contract on this notice. Please include Notice ID # in the subject line.
