The U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) intends to issue a noncompetitive firm-fixed-price contract to Ashland Specialty Ingredients G.P., 8145 Blazer Dr., Wilmington, DE 19808 for supply of 120 boxes of Sterin Irradiation Indicators (70 Gy). This product is manufactured and distributed by Ashland Specialty Ingredients, G.P. and is utilized for the insect sterilization by irradiation process for control of the Mexican Fruit Fly. See attached justification for other than full and open competition.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit capability information/responses which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must be submitted no later than January 23 by email to Lisa Draves at [email protected]. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
