Notice of Intent to Sole Source TERUMO MAINTENANCE
The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) Healthcare Contracting Division – West (HCD-W) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501(a), Only One Responsible Source. The proposed source is TERUMO BCT, INC. This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract. Reference#: HT941024N0144.
DHACA HCD-W on behalf of Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), intends to award a firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government’s needs, to:

This requirement is to provide all services, materials and equipment necessary for the repair/preventive maintenance of Trima Accel Automated Blood Collection systems and seal safe Machines: (CaridianBCT Model 81000, Serial Number 1T09852, ECN 153784; CaridianBCT Model 81000, Serial Number 1T09853, ECN 153787; CaridianBCT Model 81000, Serial Number 1T09854, ECN 153786; CaridianBCT Model 81000, Serial Number 1T09855, ECN 153785; CaridianBCT Model 81000, Serial Number 1T10927, ECN 158604; CaridianBCT Model 71251, Serial Number 7207SAN, Trima Seal Safe; CaridianBCT Model 71251, Serial Number 7209SAN, Trima Seal Safe; CaridianBCT Model 71251, Serial Number 9018SAN, Trima Seal Safe CaridianBCT Model 71251, Serial Number 9024SAN, CaridianBCT Model 71251, Serial Number 9036SAN ) located in the Blood Donor Center Department at Naval Medical Center, San Diego (NMCSD) to ensure dependable and reliable equipment operation.
There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811210 – Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance . This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
