The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to award a firm fixed price order to L3 Communications doing business at; 10 Commerce Way, Woburn, MA 01801, on a sole source basis in relation to ancillary supplies to support primary detection/security scanning units seperately acquired pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 8.405-1.  In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), authority to solicit from a single source when only one source can meet the requirement is hereby made as no other manufacturer can provide entry/exit roller tables and brand name proprietary threat image protection software of the required dimensions nor compatibility for the PXM 6.4 Base Security Detection System.

The ancillary supplies consist of the following;
