The MCIEast Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC (CAGE: 1DUR9) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

This procurement is for the on-site evaluation and repair of one (1) Zeiss Prismo Ultra Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for a performance period of ninety (90) days after award.  Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Prismo Ultra CMM.  Market research has revealed that the OEM does not use third party servicers to perform this requirement. 

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.  However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which if received within one calendar day after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.  Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
