The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 1600 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta Georiga, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to NanoString Technologies, Inc. DUNS number 143888712, for the purchase of a nCounter Sprint Profiler device.  nCounter Sprint Profiler is an amplification-free technology that measures nucleic acid content by counting molecules directly. nCounter gene expression assay is a robust and highly reproducible method for detecting the expression of up to 800 genes in a single reaction with high sensitivity and linearity across a broad range of expression levels.

  This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 541990 –“All other Professional Scientific Services.” Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.  A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist Dione Shelton at [email protected] by 3:00PM,  August 27, 2021.
