NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
This is a notice of intent to sole source a procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and only one responsible source. The applicable NAICS Code is 519120 – Libraries and Archives. The USMC Regional Contracting Office (RCO) – Marine Corps Installations-National Capital Region (MCI-NCR) at Quantico Marine Corps Base, VA intends to award a sole source contract to:

The MCI-NCR RCO intends to award this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(B), Only one source reasonably available”. This is a follow-on requirement of the existing Mimsy XG software, which provides the United States Marine Band (USMB) with updates, patches, and help desk software support for the Mimsy application. The Mimsy XG allows the USMB and on-site researchers the capability to quickly locate specific objects (sheet music & recordings holdings) within their massive collection of Marine Band Library files/material. The Mimsy XG allows for the efficient management of the USMB library through importing/exporting, cataloging, and organization of their collection of sheet music, recordings holdings, and other items associated with the band.
Award is expected to be made on or around 25 June 2021.
The anticipated contract is for a period of performance (base period plus four (4) option periods) from 01 September 2021 through 31 August 2026. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements or quotes, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to [email protected] no later than 17 June 2021, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Late responses will not be considered.
