The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Agilent Technologies Incorporated, 2850 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 for 384ST 70ul tips.
The FBI owns Agilent DNA liquid handling workstations that require 384ST 70ul tips. These tips are essential for ensuring that the liquid handling in this particular process is free of contamination. The liquid handling workstations are utilized to ensure no human errors occur during the transfer of amplified DNA into a prepared plate.
Agilent Technologies Incorporated is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the 384ST 70ul tips, therefore is the only vendor that can meet the requirements of supplying the 384ST 70ul tips.
Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government and related industry, it has been determined the FBI's requirement can only be provided by Agilent Technologies Incorporated as they are the sole-manufacturer and supplier of this product.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 08:00 am, EST, April 13, 2015, by email to the attention of Jerry Varnell, Contract Specialist, at [email protected].
