The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to the Agilent Technologies, Inc., 2850 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE, 19808-1610 for an annual service plan for the Agilent Robotic System. Services are being procured under FAR 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
The FBI own this system that is used to process the increased DNA samples being sent to the Federal DNA Database Unit for processing. To ensure this system is available and operating to fulfill the Federal Convicted Offender (FCO) Program and FBI Law Enforcement Support missions, an annual service plan is critical for this equipment.
This service can only be performed by Agilent Technologies who is the manufacturer and meet the FBI's same day response. Agilent Technologies, Inc. has complete and direct access to all manufacturer's technical specifications, instrument service manuals, schematics, and copyrighted and proprietary software.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 08:00 am, EST, April 13, 2014, by email to the attention of Jerry Varnell, Contract Specialist, at [email protected].
