The King County Housing Authority will accept Bids from Qualified General Contractors to furnish labor, materials and necessary equipment to complete the design-build of the fire monitoring system as listed in the bid documents. BIDDERS ARE TO DELIVER THEIR BIDS TO 600 ANDOVER PARK WEST, TUKWILA, WA BETWEEN 11:00AM AND 1:00PM. BIDS WILL BE OPENED AND RESULTS POSTED BY END OF THE DAY BIDS ARE DUE. The Northlake House fire monitoring system is design-build in nature and shall be all-inclusive for a complete turnkey system that meets all standards, KCHA specs and plans, applicable codes, and permit requirements. KCHA has added elements to the system that may exceed jurisdictional standards. For basis of design and material requirements, KCHA has provided reports for: Fire Alarm Site Assessment of the existing fire monitoring system with upgrade recommendations, and a Fire Alarm System Code Analysis for new system requirements. Both reports by BCE Engineering can be found in the bid documents. All new wiring must be concealed behind GWB or in KCHA-approved line covers. Contractor will be responsible for all wiring and device installation and routing, connections, testing, and restoration of the interior and exterior elements affected by the work.
